Set up your company profile

Reflects the product as of 2026-06-10

Your company profile is the foundation everything else builds on — solutions, drivers, and business cases all inherit context from it. This guide shows you how to create and maintain one in Companies.

Create or edit a profile

  1. Open Companies in the sidebar. Your profile from setup is already here; click "+ Add Company" to create another (useful if you sell under multiple brands).
  2. Enter your company name and website, then click "Autofill". Serre researches the site and proposes your industry, size, target segments, buyer personas, and even detected solutions.
  3. Review every suggestion. Accept, edit, or discard — nothing is locked in.

What lives on the profile

  • Company foundation — name, website, revenue, employees, headquarters.
  • Target market — segments, industries, and the buyer and user personas you sell to.
  • Value focus — the kinds of value your product delivers (cost reduction, productivity, risk, revenue, compliance).
  • Evidence — proof points with sources: case-study metrics, certifications, benchmarks you can cite in front of a buyer.
  • Portfolio — your solutions and value drivers, with "Manage" links to their own pages.

Trust, but verify: confidence dots

Every auto-filled field shows a three-dot confidence meter:

  • 3 dots — extracted verbatim from a source page.
  • 2 dots — inferred from multiple signals.
  • 1 dot — weakly inferred; worth a second look.

When confidence is shown, a link icon opens the exact source page, so you can check where a value came from before you rely on it.

Editing with Val

Click "Ask Val" to open the copilot panel and make changes conversationally — "change HQ to Austin", "add a highlight about our SOC 2 certification". Val applies the edit for your review; nothing saves until you confirm. See Meet Val.

Tips

  • Mark your primary profile as Default so new prospects and cases start from it.
  • Evidence is what separates a credible case from a hopeful one — add proof points as you collect them, with source links.
